Argh!!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Not going to achieve communication here.

This horse is beginning to bloat and get runny.

Not beating it any more.

Nobody has accused you, in specific, of being a racist on this board.

I never indicated they did I'm responding to the comment that Cashew made.
I'm tired of criminalization of my race across the board.

It seems everybody thinks the same about Cashew and his race or at least Cashew thinks so.

It appears I'm part of the across the board.

it's acknowledging there's a system of education prioritizing some people's humanity based on artificial attributes one's grown up in and perpetuates.

That's pretty subjective. In the US there are often quotas to ensure diversity. That has been a boondoggle in itself.

thread wasn't about racism, it was about skin privilege.

The thread seemed to have turned to that. It's one of the reasons why it's hard to to to talk to white people about racism. The term "skin privilege" automatically puts me on the defensive. I'm already guilty of something. It's like saying out loud at a party Beat your wife lately. Everyone assumes you beat your wife.

By the way not that it really matters Race is both a genetic and a social construct.

Truth be told, there are good and bad people of all races. I am caucasian, and have seen just as much 'white trash' as bad people in any other race. I believe the concept of racism is a very broad term, and cannot be clearly defined. BUT, having said that, people do have the god given right to feel racist, if they want to. When gov't starts dictating to people what they can and cannot feel, who they can and cannot like, what they can say and cannot say, then it becomes a real problem. In the US, the 1st Amendment must be upheld in it's entirety. You have the right to dislike anyone or anything you wish, as long as it doesn't become unjustly violent.

Do you think the "Black Lives Matter" leaders and movement should be stopped? Some in the media have called for the leaders to face charges because they have outright threatened people's lives. They went further to say the protests shouldn't be allowed to disrupt cities any longer.

I'm torn my mind says the 1st Amendment is there to protect the most vile types of speech. Has the group passed the yelling Fire in a theater threshold?

I'd like to see some of the black leaders speak out against the violence and rhetoric but I don't see that happening.

The Constitution and Bill of Rights protects our popular, well known freedoms. They are also in place to protect unpopular things. That guarantees freedom for all. No, the Black Lives Matters movement is protected through free speech, as is the white power movement. They have the right to peacably assemble, and express their views and opinions. People these days are attacked and persecuted if they are viewed as being even remotely racist, and that is wrong. They have the right to hate, just as much as the right to love. By trying to suppress like and dislike, we have to be careful that all that doesn't turn into dictatorship.

It's when things dictate how people should feel about themselves, like versus dislike, that things become difficult.

Is that what makes it so difficult to talk to white people about racism?

I'm getting off topic but I'm interested in what others think.

I copied the two statement below from Breitbart.

The podcast called for people to kill cops just days prior to the execution of a Harris County sheriff’s deputy.

The Texas-based radio show’s guests called for lynching white people and taking pictures of them hanging in trees.

I suppose it's not any worse than what you see on the KKK sites but when people actually go out and do the things they suggest do they bear some of the responsibility?

If someone tries to incite riot and nothing happens it's speech but when the riot occurs shouldn't they be punished too?

I guess that is kind of a complicated question.Even though a racist group suggests violent acts in their speeches, the people still have a personal and cognitive choice of whether to actually commit them or not.

For example, I could say on here "I want all ptsd sufferers to go out and kill at least one undiagnosed individual today!" ......If they commit the crime, who is really responsible for committing the murder(s)? Me or them?
