I had a body memory a couple of days ago. I was thinking about my dad. Nothing negative just about how I used to spend time at my dads and aunts apt’s. I suddenly felt this surge of a weird sensation in my core. And I also felt like someone was touching me in a bad place. My parts said no… daddy … dont…and between each word was labored breathing. I’m just kind of confused because I’ve had this labored breathing before with non traumatic things and my alters have also said someone abused them that couldn’t have. I’m so confused. Do intrusive thoughts say things like no daddy don’t?

MyPTSD does not use trigger warnings. Mind reading what could be a trigger for another is a negative thinking style, a problem all PTSD sufferers need to correct at some level. Whilst some view its use as a courtesy, it is impossible to know what will, or will not, trigger another person, regardless the graphic detail contained. After all, this is a space where those affected can discuss trauma and its consequences. Community Constitution
ModNote: Aloha! We don’t use trigger warnings here, because many reasons, my fave of which is: “After all, this is a space where those affected can discuss trauma and its consequences.”

Talk about what you need to talk about. At any level of detail.

I have had all sorts of strange body responses; too many to list here and this post is not about me. I am in 100% agreement with Rose White that there is no limit to what intrusive thoughts might arise. Be prepared to be both pleased and 'grossed-out' and informed and mis-informed by your intrusive thoughts. It's OK to be confused.
