You Know You Have PTSD When...

When you just went to grab your cup of tea off the kitchen bench and realise you made yourself...
*price is right announcer voice*

A nice cup of booooiling waterrrrrrr
Clearly I was on a roll this morning, as I just opened the fridge to get out some leftovers to warm up for dinner, and found a knife and fork that I apparently put in there.
Because food tastes so much better when your cutlery is pre-chilled, especially in almost-winter

When your therapist anxious about checkpoints of a state you used to live is a nbd exercise in current info...

But you totally need a whole therapy session to explain to you how the hell deal with kind people that tried to help you out earlier the week. :shifty: Yah. Still need a babysitter. :bag:

When you have so much adrenaline upon waking from your 3am nightmare that part of your brain mistakes it for *must be time to get up!* 'Till you realise that it's completely dark outside and no matter how motivated you are to get stuff done, the shops won't be open for at least another few hours.

When the fact that there is no edible food prepared in the house turns into a rant to T in your head about parental past patterns of neglect and abandonment, and how you aren't worth taking care of, and even though you're a full-grown-ass adult, the diatribe in your head is still a downright TANTRUM that no one cares about you enough to see to your needs! AND it snowballs into other traumas and the subsequent inner meltdowns when having to clean the kitchen and take out the trash-recycling-compost (something 3 other full-grown-ass adults are fully capable of doing), is added onto the list of things that need to be taken care of after a full day of physically demanding work (on top of THAT time of the month).
