You Know You Have PTSD When...

When you come home to find the locks to your house changed (house with several rental apartments), your key won't work and you do a quick analysis of your options which leaves you with nothing but ringing other tenants' door bells and you decide to ring "Blessin" first and "Angel" next because they MUST BE nice people. LOL :D
(Of course they weren't home...)

When you're depressed and hurting really bad from what probably is grief too- but then dissociate it all because you constantly hear a voice inside your head tell you that you're exaggerating, are a lying wimp and that you've just deceived everyone and your self Into believing that it's worse than it is. Just so that you could get more sympathy than you are worth getting. - So you shut down and get numb instead. And feel uncomfortable having contact with anyone you've been 'honest' with, and you feel like hitting the road and not ever come back again. Because then everything would be fine. Right?

:banghead: :meh:

When you stop watching a TV show because every time someone dies, their family looks sad for a scene or two then shrugs it off and goes on with their lives, and you know that it's not like that. And then you feel sad because you wish it was like that.

When people enter the room you're in without knocking, and you scream.

When your first thought when you enter a new room is: "What's my plan if we're attacked?"
