- When you wake-up 1:30am in such night sweats you have to get out of bed to let the pillow case dry...
- When you wake-up, and know your not going back to sleep unless you drink something...(as sad as that sounds...)
Then you still wonder will I be able to go back to sleep...
- Then you come here because it feels safe, and friendly. People who understand....

Then, finally, a year later you meet this person close up enough to be made certain it isn't your abuser. None the less, you still keep your drapes closed at all times, just in case.

When your first childhood memory are your parents fighting over a gun, because your father was going to go kill someone. You were the one running to neighbor's for safety, and to have them call police at age 5 or 6. Your second memory is from same day of several police cars - your dad being arrested, and put into back of police car. (Yea I had my father arrested, and put in jail at age 5 or 6....)

I don't feel like I have PTSD today. In fact, there is a man making passes at me and I am interested. This is a first in about a dozen years. Others have made passes at me and I have balked.
