As a result of the current push here to raise the server amount for an entire year, this replaces what has been attempted via GoFundMe. Also the 30 day challenge established here.
GoFundMe was an idea, and raised AUD$620 during 2 months, though I do believe whilst it needed to be trialled, the campaign here is more effective than deviating people to a third party. The other issue is that GoFundMe is extremely expensive to use in relation to dealing in US$, when it only allows a person to establish campaigns based on their native countries currency.
As a result, with GoFundMe fee's and charges, plus their required Stripe payment processing use, which then incorporate their fee's and charges, plus the difference in currency from AUD to US$, I have converted it all to equate to US$505 after all of these charges, based on the approximate exchange rate of 0.80 cents in the dollar.
As a result, I am closing the GoFundMe and manually adding the US$505 figure to this push to raise our years server costs ASAP so that we can then step back and relax about this resources funding for an entire year at a time.
