I used to clench my teeth, I discovered this one day while on these Forums. I've worked hard to let that one go, but it still pops up now and then. I have some permanent twitches in my hands, and on and off in my eyelids. I also occasionally get a thumping kind of movement in my ear. I can feel it and hear it. I will tense certain areas of my body at times too, I can sometimes untense them at will and sometimes not.

Does anyone else get vision disturbances?

A few scary times my vision has gone. Nada. Niente. zilch. Caput. = 2 black holes in my face :mask:

The lights are out, but I AM home! :dead: it just feels like ive shut my eyes unintentionally.

@pixel that is scary about the eyes! It was not my choice to go to big box store last night as my friend needed something for work. She said I started "to go somewhere" before we even made it inside. She always asks where I went when I flash or disassociate. She tries to help me find triggers too. I don't know what it was last night, just that everything felt too noisy, bright, and busy to the point my whole body and head ached later.

@pixel yes and I often wonder if they are closed or open. I can't really figure it out, but my old T would notice and stop me before. My new T tries her hardest to have me stay present, she gives me toys to play with while discussing tough stuff and doesn't allow my stress level to get to a certain point. Often we play a game or something at the end of session to have me leave on a calmer note. I am not as close to her as my first one. I learned that my first T was feeling like more of my Mother than counselor thats why she let me go. She isn't practicing anymore. I keep thinking it's my fault. Ok not what this thread is about...yes I "black out" sometimes.

OH WOW!!!! I recently became aware of twitches in my eyes and immediately sent off an email to my neurologist. It's the one aura I get of an impending seizure. She heard me describe it and told me this isn't her problem. Go see your Therapist. I then when to a gyn where I thought the problem might be coming from. Again, same advice... Go see your Therapist.

I had never heard of this before but they agreed that high levels of anxiety were causing the eye flickering. This is brand new to me and SO reassuring.

Panic Attacks
- My heart feels like it's racing out of my chest.
- My throat feels stuck.
- Getting lightheaded.

Feeling like I'm being held down while I sleep..can't escape.

I mostly feel mental effects more than anything.
