Yep....the cost of meds and good health care is irrelevant to the rich.....to these people calling the shots. The rich getting richer, the middle class going broke on healthcare, and the poor living on the streets or under a bridge. Eventually we will only have "the haves and the have nots"

Didn't make the bill nor did he pass it through the House. Maybe a blame on Republicans I can get, sort of. Though I don't like those finger pointed convos. But it's not all Trump's fault either. I don't like the man. Don't get me wrong. But I also know the President doesn't call every shot there is to call. We still have checks and balances and HR 620 just passed through one of them...the House.

So now the Senate has to act on it. If it passes the Senate, it will no doubt be different than the House version and it will go to conference committee. Contact your Senators. See how your Representative voted and contact them. Tell them your story. Explain what's wrong with this bill, in your opinion and why. Here's the thing, YOU, @lostforgottensoul , are kind of the poster child for what they want out of people. You're working in spite of a bunch of challenges that would make other people give up. And, if passed, this bill can make it harder for people like you to keep working. This is a bit like mind reading with your T. These people are not all that thoughtful and well informed. They don't always think of this stuff unless someone points it out. Part of the way our democracy works is people complaining. And voting. See your representatives vote and remember it for the next election.

Last, but not least, although some businesses probably think the ADA is a PITA, people with disabilities spend money too. It's in their own best interest to have their business accessible and user friendly.

This COULD make it into law, but I suspect it won't.

Indeed! And even so, it can make it a nightmare with a service dog. Discrimination by denying me? Oh, well they only have 210 days to deny me further. No ramp for a wheelchair and someone is paralyzed? Oh, well I have 210 days to deny you further. You need a job today? Too bad, I have 210 days. I know it still has the Senate to go but the fact it passed the House is f*cking scary. It makes it much clearer the world we live in today. To even consider writing a bill such as that is scary let alone to pass through the House!

lostforgottensoul, I know this has to weigh very heavy on you right now and for good reason. I totally agree with you that it is scary to think this bill was even written. I just do not think the majority of people in our country would agree with this, and I sure hope it doesn't pass. These days, Im just not surprised at anything. Politics/policies/laws have always been a heated subject but I can hardly stand social media these days.

I know I sure don't have all the answers, but some things just seem insane to me. What has happened to our country to even digress to such bills? You are in my thoughts! As the many others that are faced with this nonsense!
