@gealach, The Mnt. St. Helen's photo is amazing. I remember when it blew its top, In May of 1980...Horrific and amazing at the same time. I lived in Washington, when it happened.

Here is a photo taken on the Grayland Beach near West Port, Washington. I call it, "A Room With A View", since the opening of the driftwood hutch was facing the Pacific Ocean waves. This one always makes me smile.

You've got that right, @Sophy . lol We put it on a super tall pole and everything. I'd occasionally spray the pole with cooking oil to create even more of a challenge....but it only took a few tries and he was right at it again with very little effort. lol Endless hours of entertainment!

Mt. St. Helen's

LMFAO... Oooooh that damn mountain! Lemme tell ya about the time I drove all the way arooooooound that sucker because I was supposed to be meeting someone to go hiking at “the mountain”, but they sent me the wrong GPS coordinates, so they drove to Ranier and I drove to Helen’s. Things only got worse from there. Rivers without bridges, phones -landlines, even!- with no service, countless where the hell are we???

Ah technology. And bad intel. :facepalm:

:hilarious: I might should probably add to the “pet peeve” thread... people who don’t double check their GPS coordinates before sending other people to where they were a week ago, instead of where they’re going to be next week! ((I didn’t think you’d drive all the way to Mt.St.Helen’s! // Seriously??? This from the person I have met in New York & California from New Orleans? You asked if I’d meet you at these coordinates, sure I’d meet you, I said. Practically around the corner. Compared to where I have met up with you how many times in the past??? Same damn time zone, this time.// Point taken. My round at the bar. // Your TAB at the bar. // Fair enough. ))

Not to hijack the thread but my son managed to affix a metal Slinky toy to the bottom of a bird feeder pole ... and it actually solved the squirrel problem.

This photo is simply an example of how amazing our plant world is. When I worked in the flower shops, we used to call these "Elephant Ears" plants.
