:DOh yeh, that's what I'm talkin about.:D
Look at the smoke off the rear wheel of the first one.
Before all this happened to me, when I still had the money to buy toy's I was eyeing off an Aprillia RXV 5.5 Super Motard.
Do you get them over there?
550 injected vTwin sound like a v8 when winding out.
Here you can get them as a factory motard or trail bike.
Good on ya for standing to the challenge LB lol
blwnawy

Hi yes I do like a challenge LOL

Yes we get the aprillia rxv over here its a real crazy bike my brother has ridden one and says there like riding a two stroke, really flat unless your revving it but when you do it goes like a rocket :D

But for me theres only one Sm and thats the berg, my one owes me a small fortune and isnt the most reliable or practical of bikes  But theres just no other bike that comes close to the smiles per mile it gives me when its all working as it should.

I do like Husabergs can you tell hahaha

That first pic looks a lot like my Honda XBR500 when I seized it up. Just a joke at my own expense. Col.

Does "crying out loud " work the same as "Laughing out loud"

COL, suppose that works too
You did something unusual there seizing a honda not many people done that.. what with them being the most reliable bikes out there LOL

If they're anything like the XR's over here the early 4 valve heads used to crack quite often between the exhaust valves & drop em etc. Probably the heat here, & blokes gettin up em to early when they were cold.
I have a mate that wheelied his 250 that far (think it was 4ks, comes to mind it was back in the 80's so I'm not sure about that) that the cam seized because the pump wasn't picking up enough oil,:) serves him right show off:D
I'd be happy if I could do a descent 20m one lol.

Yes not sure ive heard of that problem over here, but extra heat with an aircooled engine can do weird things LOL

Yes seizing and engine cos you wheelied it for so long serves him right
I know the proper stunt boys on the gsxrs and blades and that modify the sump pick up so its works when the bikes wheeling.
Id be happy with a good 5ft wheelie LOL im not really very good at stunts

Yeah thanks for pointing that out to me gang about the bullet proof engines and I'm sure I had checked the oil levels last year as well !!! lol (well you have to don't you) Trust me it wasn't from riding on one wheel.

Blwnawy the bike is from 1987 and is a single cylinder twin exhaust.

'87 XR500 not too many of those in captivity nowadays, if it's in good shape might be worth a rebuild & keeping it alive . Those oldies are bringing in good dough these day's.
Saw a TT500 bringing in up round $20,000 here at auction not long ago.

That reminds me, had to pick up a part off a mate from the trials club here today. He's doing up a 70's TT500 into a motard. He's a really talented fitter n turner any mod's it needs won't be a problem.
Be a machine to play on once built I reckon with their low center of gravity.
He's got two others on the road & one he lengthened & lifted a bit for VMC (vintage motocross).
Me & the TT500's don't get on that well though, had one as a mustering bike kicked back when I was starting it one day, smashed all the left side of my face. col (mmm, Just after stopping to help a roo that was stuck under a fallen tree. It maybe a conspiracy, I think roo's have got it in for me. lol).
Boring you LB? :D

These 3 are of our wonderful tourer, which unfortunately has not seen the light of day since August 1st 2007. The first was taken in September 2004, the 3rd loaded up and ready to head back home form a camping trip.

IMG_0002.webp This was a brilliant speed machine, had a race tuned engine. Give it its head and hang on LOL

IMG_0005.webp This was just a bike we saw while camping on the east coast. Looked so cool we had to get a photo, LOL

I have more somewhere, but just copied these with digital camera from prints this morning.

Love the pictures Amethist, What's the Kawakka, a Z series? Can't quite make it out.

I love these too, Triumph Rocket least thats what they call them over here in Aussie, they're a 2 liter triple, sound awesome with a sports exhaust.
There's one getting around here with a turbo strapped to the side of it :D.
