Yeah, like the USMC vet that was shot & killed in his home. Defending his home from prowlers. Turned out the prowlers were SWAT, doing a warrantless search. Not only did the pigs not find any drugs in the home, but they found they also had the wrong address. And lie after lie, the cops keep getting caught lying. Pathetic. A caring husband and father, dead. And all the pigs can do is lie lie lie.

I spoke with a cop earlier, we have butted heads a number of times. We've known each other for a number of years, before I moved here. Anyhow, he also saw that video. And it nauseated even him.

But I am worried about moving to Britain, because they don't have the freedom of speech? I have no idea how many other countries don't have this?

Sadly, the UK is not any better. The US actually has more rights that you can use to seek justice.

I agree the US is pretty plutocratic. Too many vested interests in keeping a broken system broken, anyone who tries to fix anything at all is going to face immense opposition. I wonder why anyone bothers...

In reply to the first part. Yes we do. It is indoctrinated into us from a young age. We are taught in school (public schools funded by the state) that after the abolition of slavery america has been a moral high ground for the world. America is so great thats why everybody tries to emigrate to here, blah blah. It wasnt till i returned from iraq and saw the stupidity of most americans (my fellow country men) thier lack of care for what the rest of the world thinks about us and my widened view of the world as a whole that i realised america is not the greatest nation in the universe.

Americans are *EXTREMELY* narcissistic about America. It's as though it's the centre of the universe.
I would go so far as to say narcissism is a national trait. Period.

I do wish the police would not be referred to across the board with the blanket term of 'pig', however. The types of human beings who abuse their power can certainly be referred to in this manner but as just those types of humans. Other police certainly would be nauseated by such a film.

I lived in the UK for 5 years. If you do not raise hell, you do not have any policemen or women asking you not to.

Unless you are a politician or otherwise represent something that is HUGE to our government or highly visible, lots of investments and interest (like the CEO of GM or something), I would say you have freedom of speech? I mean, sure, Americans get real up their own behinds sometimes, but we also have a huge amount of media that is perpetually criticizing our country running through our cable wires.

I will say there is a huge restriction on Freedom of Speech. I already spent two weeks of this year in jail along with criminal charges filed against me just because I gave my opinion of a political figure. I did not lie, I did not slander, I did nothing illegal. Doesn't matter. He simply has more money than I do.
