Private Ptsd Forum Changes

The private PTSD Forum discussion forum that older members had access to under the existing structure, can now only read that forum.

It has been moved under the PTSD Discussion forum, and access to those who have access changed to read only. Posting threads and replies has been revoked permanently.

Account upgrades exist to access private forum discussion areas.

I have read the above sentence several times and just cannot make sense of it at all.

Perhaps you could phrase it differently to help me?

Yes, in the Public PTSD Forum under the topic Discussion, I can now see and read (up above) that closed Private Discussion forum. I'm interpreting that it is out of site to those not previously a member of that Private forum.

My question is can only Ptsd sufferers that meet your criteria read this forum? (as it was previously) or will anybody paying for access to it now be able to just read from there?

It looks as though this question has been already answered and may be - Only those members previously able to access this private forum can and will be able to still access it, to read only. Perhaps it will be viewable to those meeting certain Ptsd trust and criteria in the present as well, whom have chosen an upgrade to such private sections.

Is any of this so?

Or has the original criteria changed and any member with a private access upgrade, (with or without certain Ptsd), be able to read there as well?

The PTSD Discussion (Private) forum has now been changed to read only. Does that help?

It has been moved under the PTSD Discussion forum and relabelled to "Read Only"

It used an older style forum approval system that is obsolete with Xenforo software and the future direction of the website.

Yes, only those who had such access can still read within it so they have access to their own content. Nobody new can see the content. It exists now purely so anyone with that older access to that forum can still get at their content if they desire.

I could count on both hands the posts in that forum in the last 3 months, if not one hand.

It simply is not a viable forum going forward.

This option allows older members to manually bring out any content that they have written, to less private areas if they desire, otherwise leave it where it is.

Yes, Ayesha, I believe only the Supporter Discussion area is open as it is actively used.

So could one of my threads be moved out so I can still use it? Or is that lost? I would still love to be able to use my 'anger thread' in the private forum.

And if you follow Hope's link and can't see anything it's because you never had access to the Private forum.

You will get a message:

Only members who had access will be able to follow the link.
