We got back on Saturday from a fabulous week on the Isle Of white. It was the first weeks holiday we have had since my husbands accident and PTSD diagnosis.

It was an amazing week. good hotel, good food, good days out sight seeing around the island, and the weather was fabulous all week.

Apart from one tiny episode as he got into bed one night, hubby was symptom free all week.

Here are a few picture I took while we were there.

The 'Wonders of the Isle of Wight' is a play-on words based on the name of Island Towns or Places.

  • "Lake" where there is no water.
  • The "Needles" you cannot thread.
  • "Ryde" where you walk.
  • "Cowes" you cannot milk.
  • "Freshwater" you cannot drink.
  • "Newport" you cannot bottle.
  • "Winkle street" where there are no Winkles
  • "Newtown" which is very old

Very glad you two had a good time :) I'm sure it was very relaxing and refreshing to get away from everything for a few days!

The Isle of Wight is lovely.

I remember being amazed how relaxed everything was. Getting a bus when it started raining, the driver made little detours and unofficial stops to get everyone closer to their home before they got off!

It also has the most reliable train service in the country, something like 98% of trains running on time. It's only a single line back and forth with about five stops, lol.

How very wonderful that you two had some good time together. Those pictures are beautiful, makes me think it won't be long before I get on a plane again for non work activities. Bless your hearts!!!
