I cannot count how many times I opened the wrong door on the wrong car at the post office. It is nice to know I am not alone in this. Thanks for making me smile. I am so glad she was there to straighten things out for you.

I am starting to feel normal. Not something I am used to! ;)

I've done various things but to describe one - husband and I pull over in from of a B&B. I am the one to go in and see if it is habitable and if they have space.

I come out after, get into the car and fill H in on my findings whilst putting on the safety belt. I sit there - no response which is a tad unusual. I mutter "darling" and turn to face him... only to see a strangers face a few inches in front of mine. Grinning inanely.

Enter stage the PTSD startle response on steroids- I literally almost hit the roof - levitated - arms and legs flying in all directions. :clown:Then there was an embarrassing moment after, a sheepish conversation and I got out and slunk off just in time to see his wife come up to the car, her gaze fixed on my whilst doing so! I'm sure I am still fodder for dinner party entertainment.

H says he was watching me just sitting there next to a stranger in a strange car, all strapped in, and was trying to figure what was going on until me saw me windmill.

I can't match that, but a woman did snuggle up to me at the Costco book table and asked me if book x would be a good gift for somebody. I wasn't able to come up with anything intelligent to say and that delay caused her look up and scream. Turns out my leather jacket and general size was pretty close to her husband who was on the opposite side of the table laughing.

Holy moly, that would be creepy! I can totally understand why you were doing the windmill.

:joyful: I'm glad.

This is a great thread!

I was walking down the sidewalk one day when I was in my 20s when I see this parade of high school students marching toward me. As they got closer, I notice that the parade leader looks just like me. She stared at me too, both of us in awe, speechless.
