Found A Job But Not In My Field

The baby had a rough night and I asked for help, once again I got reminded he had work this morning. At three thirty I woke up for the day and started doing all the stuff I need to (breakfast, coffee, housework) and he woke up at 4:50, he took out the trash and acted like he had done too much too early. Why is my job less important?
Wow. You are working TWO jobs taking care of a baby all night and then going to work in the morning. I am proud of you for getting the job and handling all of this, along with a crabby husband. Way to go!
I have looked into the drivers ed course, the nearest one of 30 minutes away and no one can drive me to it, but thank you very much that was a good idea :)
That stinks. I do agree that it is MUCH easier to learn how to drive from people who are not family. Maybe ask some friends, or even over time, you might build a relationship with a co-worker who might be willing to help.

It stinks that he isn't willing to pitch in to help you learn how to drive. It almost seems like another way he is belittling you, not encouraging you to grow and do the things you want to do in life.

Even for the sake of your family, for himself, it would be great of his wife knew how to drive in case there was ever an emergency and he couldn't drive.

I'm sorry he is being a bit of a jerk. I think you are doing a lot of really great productive things! Good work!

We are also talking about employment on another Thread about Snakes in the Grass in workplaces. My very favourite job in my whole life was as a dishwasher at a cafe. I loved it. It was fun and I kept busy and loved helping others to enjoy their day with a coffee and a chat. I did a Nursing Degree and hated it. Hated every single part of it.

Now I go to a coffee shop daily, years later and dream of working with the girls who laugh and call me by my name every morning. It is a service and brings me a sense of community and connection. I now also attend Pilates classes with thos e same girls who invited me along.

It has value, basic human life value and instant reward and also tangible evidence at the end of the day of your work., rather than a neverending cycle of answering emails and attending meetings and fighting beaureacracy. For some people it is so valuable an occupation.

PS We are also now talking on that thread about Assholes and Assholery. Sounds to me as though your guy could be teeting on the verge of Assholery.

I have low tolerance for this in husbands as I am on my third, but this one is a keeper. The others did not listen or respond or believe there was a problem until after I left. Then I finally had their attention. Too late.

Do what you can to get your licence. In Australia there are Driving schools who come to your house to pick you up and you can take one lesson at a time when you can afford it. I dont know if you guys have that service.

I don't know how to only quote part of a message. Yes I think he is teetering on the edge of assholery, and quite suddenly too. Except for the thing of not willing to teach me to drive he has always been very supportive then BOOM he stops. We don't have schools here that will pick people up, that I am aware of, I'll get online tomorrow and check. Thank you for the idea :)

Today at work they trained me in the kitchen, I love to cook so it was paradise to me. Going to ask the owner the next time I see them if I can do it one whole day a week.
