Thinking about negative thoughts is a kind of self harming. Positive attitude is critically important in life. It is kind of a self help for a healthy life.
Drinking more water may also be effective. There are several breathing exercises, alternate coping strategies, diets and physical exercises that are effective for anxiety. Some people also find relief by reducing their ingestion of stimulants(coffee, soda) and alcohol.
I get them when I do not follow the methods of self help or self esteem. I do prefer to do exercises regularly to protect myself from the anxiety symptom.
Instead of watching TV before going to bed, better to develop an habit of reading books or listening to music. It makes me to sleep early and comfortably.
