I've been ringing around EVERYWHERE today trying to track something down. I think I may have succeeded, but it will just mean a trip into the store in the middle of a major city which I don't do too well. Oh well, I'll survive! I just hope they don't think it is silly... It is my favorite thing and wanted to share. Will be in the post by the weekend!

Did I miss something or aren't the gifts meant for Christmas? I mean, if we chat on e.g. 1 Dec, not all will have their gifts, right? Or did something get changed and I missed it?!

The gifts are for Christmas but as we have been having an annual Xmas chat it was thought that opening the presents at the same time would be a novel idea. It's the forum's Christmas day so to speak as everyone has their own commitments etc during the real Christmas time and with all what goes on, the excitement of this may get overlooked. Everyone is so excited and if left to Christmas day with people then on leave, holidays, family, not wanting to acknowledge the time etc I feel that this would turn into a deflating balloon with the gift senders waiting to hear what their recipient thought but the recipient being busy and forgetting to post and so on. Does that make sense?

The idea of having a forum Christmas gift opening date prior to the 25th is so we can all oooh and aaah together via chat and talk about our gifts and whatever else before being consumed by the actual event on the 25th (or eve of depending on the country).

Just have to say this is my favorite season. I know I am not part of the religion and yet if I did not fear my own family I would be decorated out. I cant wait for the joy of our Christmas get together. I also can't wait for the time to buy a holiday tree and get busy decorating.:roflmao:

I sent my package today. I didn't send it priority mail though. Is that a problem??? I have a tracking number. Oh.. I hope it gets there on time.

I hope the reciever enjoys the gift!

I don't think you had to send it priority Nadia. I am sending mine priority because we have Flat-rate boxes. So, if it's a little heavier, but still small, I don't have to pay for the extra weight. I think (and hope) it is early enough in the season that priority or not it will get to the recipient in plenty of time. If they get it a little later, that's ok :)

H hates Christmas and watches fondly as I get my knickers in a twist. I usually peak to early though and end up cream crackered for Christmas.
