10 Friends I Saw At The Course Yesterday And Why I Love Them
1. Kobus--He looks like Santa Claus, cares about me (and everyone) and is so wise and laid-back (a teddy bear)
2. Cora--She loves little children, a "typical" pre-school teacher, and she shows me that it's OK to be vunerable with safe people
3. Rosemary--She is the coolest grandma 69-year-old I know, alive, active, fun, and caring
4. Titi--She's been through so much but has such peace. "I'm blessed" is her response to "How are you?" That peace shines in the midst of difficulties.
5. Leonie--She's so alive, natural, free in her teaching and every-day life.
6. Allen--Even though he's a man who's older than me, he is so teachable in the areas where I can help him (training adults) and open to teach me in areas where he knows more (running children's camps)
7. Maggie--At 58 (2 years ago), she started her new career of cooking for us. She didn't just give up when her husband died. She enjoys life, doesn't stress and is like a mom for the younger students
8. Carol--She gave up her well-paying job to go for her passion--teaching children
9. Alfred--(my friend and translator) He is always ready, eager to learn and loves (in the right way) children--even those with AIDS
10. David--He wants what is best for us his workers and is willing to sacrifice to help us
