Todays things I am grateful for:

2. Realizing he was the one who had put me on the spiral backwards with my PTSD and was the biggest cause of all/most of my current triggers and enjoyed doing it

3. Thankful for God leading our lives to this place in our lives to all me to "see" all of this and start on my journey of healing ME and my daughter hopefully my older children

4. So thankful for finally listening to that little voice in my head *the one that was telling me I wasn't crazy, even though he was saying I was*, the GUT feelings I have had for years, telling me something was wrong with him, something wasn't adding up and it wasn't all me or my issues

5. Finally, for today I am forever grateful for my precious daughter being such a brave soul and feeling safe enough to tell me her deep dark secrets, the best way she can and knowing I believe her!

6. One more Finally, Thankful for God allowing my heart to open up so that I could develop the strong relationship I have with him now that I have been craving/searching for years, which in turn has helped me seek the proper help for me in my healing, in turn allowing me to stop being in denial about what has been really going on in my life.....

I had this perfect moment, some time ago and haven't thought about it in a long time. Picture this..
A hot summer day with out a cloud in the sky.
Standing next to a beautiful, sleepy horse.
The buzz of insects flying around.
THEN I slide my hand under the horses mane.
Its cool to the touch.
I rest my head against her, and she sighs.
Then I sigh and smile.
I am so thankful for that beautiful moment and that I remembered it after it being so long ago.

About Winter

1. I can hide under long pants, a floor length skirt, a tank top, a long sleeve shirt, a hooded sweat shirt, and socks all at the same time and nobody thinks it weird.

2. I can spend hours cooking complicated, elaborate meals on the stove and look nice and productive but feel like I am relaxing in front of a fireplace.

3. After going outside to smoke one cigarette I have more than enough incentive to put on a nicotine patch for the rest of the day.

4. I get to really enjoy my collection of hot herbal teas and their many flavors.

5. I have a perfectly good excuse to take several scalding hot bubble baths a day.

Ha! This one was tough for me but I knew I could do it! :thumbs-up
