Slave Ports
Dublin was one of the premier slave ports/hubs in the world for over 400 years; selling slaves from all over Europe & parts of N.Africa/MiddleEast/NearEast, even some groups/individuals traded along various merchant routes from the farthest flung corners of the world, of the stories are even vaguely accurate. Having been to former slave ports here in the new world / West Indies that only operated for less than half that time to “mere” decades? As well as some in Asia that were in business over a millenium… it’s one of the things that blows my mind, as it’s knowledge I came late to, rather than growing up with… that Dublin was a slaver’s city. For centuries.
So my mind jumps to from Guinness and lands… in Dublin.
