Does anyone have this?

It is a need to keep moving. I have it bad----not as bad as drug induced. Seroquil causes it really really awful.

It seems most of the literature is about drug related Akathisia. However, if can also be caused by Parkinsons and other neuro disorders, including, I would presume, PTSD.

It is really awful If I sit for more than 20minutes, my legs hurt, burn, jump, ache, and Ifeel I have to move about. It is making school so hard.

Yeah, my girlfriend has it. She takes a med and she's the less than 1% person that experiences pounding heart, tightened throat, hyperactivity, anxiety, ... kinda goes crazier on the med than is she wasn't on it at all.

If it helps, she comes into the psych stuff suffering Epilepsy. She's on some generic form of Kepra. Her mother suffers chronic depression and she and I think that she does, too. We BOTH went through some very bad things and BOTH ended up in an hospital (psych). I was suffering PTSD, SHE suffered ... HER things and mine. She was like a bombshell victim.

The meds made things MUCH worse for her and, apparently, it was diagnosed this way. It took about 12 hours to come down.

I hope this helps, but... the Epilepsy thing is an huge variable. In any case, I remember that the med was an SSRI.

[edit: celexa was the thing that caused her symptoms. For me, (I was also prescribed) It caused me not to be able to get an erection, so I switched to Wellbutrin and that HAS worked. It's not an SSRI]
