New Here
Hello,
I am going through a very tricky stage at the moment. I am fighting 24/7 Not to let this Anger out off me, The last time IT came out i ended up in prison. i bottled up or my anger again since then and it has come back to me 6 yrs later. In those 6 yrs my life was really bad with PDSD. i have 4 different personalty's:- Happy me, Normally me, Sad me and Angry me. I was told about this forum from a great friend of mine, and thought i can speak to people who suffer with this as sometimes i need to talk about it to someones who knows what its like!

Welcome @Shorty. I hope you find this forum to be a good resource. I can't speak much on the anger part as I seem to have a different set of emotions but I am wondering if you search for postings that address anger if it might be of help to you.

I can finally open up to people here as i hide everything from everyone cause sometimes i feel ashamed all the time :(

Welcome @Shorty . This is a good place to open up and risk sharing some because people here really do understand. I have an angry part. Mine has never landed me in jail, but that part can be scary nonetheless. I have found a few ways to help the angry part get anger out. They seem silly, but they work sometimes. One is to bounce a basketball really hard. The other is to rip a phone book or magazine.

@Shorty welome to the forum. I am sure you will meet people here who can relate to you.
I am hopeful that others can recommend some coping mechanisms for your anger, or give you some ideas for positive release of your anger.

I also love the avitar, is it a picture of the badlands in the american west?

i have tryed all different methods but it keeps coming back quicker and quick each time. since my new meds i haven't been in-control of the anger and upset. and thank you @RussH the avitar looks peaceful

@Shorty. New meds? Meds can do some not so good things. Can you get a hold of the doctor who put you on them and let him know what they are doing to you?

@Shorty Welcome to the forum.

Anger can be a very real and very scary part of PTSD. I found that "fiight"is my go to response for stress and that anger is the emotional response. I also discovered that my own anger was masking a lot of other emotions...fear, dissappointment, hurt, resentmet, etc. When I learned to identify and deal with the real emotion then the anger became less frequent and intense. Stress reduction, exercise and yoga have also been helpful.

I hope you find the forum beneficial.
