I'm trying so hard to keep it together at work. I can't stop thinking about him. Sitting here crying while everyone is away at lunch so it doesn't build up so much. Anger is starting to make it's way through now but I'm still in denial.

I can't get off early. No back up and I need the money. I think I can hang in until 5. I need to see a friend after work to tell him the news if he doesn't know already.

Sometimes I write the time down on a paper in increments if I can't stand it, & cross it off as it goes. Plus distractions, if possible. And tune out others or 'tune in' someone good or in need. It should be just 3 hours left then now? Worst chunk is done.

Sometimes, it's impossible to find our way past the pain. My heart aches for you, TX. I'm grateful that your friend had people in his life who loved him and who will carry him in their memories. :(
