Any Tall Redheads Out There?

I've always felt so different than everyone else. I'm tall, red- haired with freckles. I am also very shy. Whenever I walk in a room people stare at me. I feel so alien. And I feel they can tell I've been sexually abused by the way I handle myself. Can anyone understand this?

I experienced that when I was in my teens and early 20's. I have been in therapy on and off for a while and it started going away as I began dealing with this in therapy. I hope you have a good t to help you through this.

You may be very striking and that can be cool except when we feel as we do inside.

I used to hate that people would look at me or stare when I walked into a room or even down the street, but I had a dramatic look particularly when I was younger. They didn't stare because I was grotesque - I wasn't - but because of the fact I felt so offensive inside, I felt very uncomfortable. I hated it sometimes. That changed as I changed internally.

But I know the feeling.

Not so wild I wouldn't call myself tall but I'm a red head especially when I grow a beard, had all the usual taunts, blood nut Duracell etc so just know it's ok to be different

My red hair comes from a box and certainly gets more notice then when I've let it just be blond. I agree with the other posts that it might be how you're interpretting the attention- you probably look lovely and those people are enjoying the view, not thinking ill of you at all, rather the opposite.

I'm shy, anxious and have PTSD. I don't want all eyes on me when I walk in a room. I want to be invisible.
