I like the expression in the dog's eyes.

Yes Britt! That's the very first thing, that crossed my mind too! It's not "just" a drawn dog - It's really one with such a special view in its eyes, that one would think, this beautiful dog looks straight into my eyes (and soul!).

@shadowchaser, you're gifted twice I would say; Not only do you draw in such a fine way, but you also breathe life into your drawings...

I was doodling

I've always found it fascinating that those with a gift for art can refer to pictures which amaze me as "doodles". It's a lovely woofy dog.

I love this thread so much, you are all a talented bunch who can create amazing visuals. Inspiring work everyone :tup:.

Maybe because some of us do it all the time we just don't think the same on it. For me a full work is more like Moonlight Sonata (posted earlier in the thread. Some wolves howling with a moon in the background.) and something like this is just me goofing off.

First attempt at poetry in decades. I don't know why I felt the urge to do this now, it's not my thing. The only training I had was in highschool that everybody gets, and I've never been into it. So I know very, very little about it. So please be forgiving if it sucks.

The Playground.

All alone they stand, these sentries of a time long past.
All but forgotten, by the joyful children they once served.

The children now sit, glued to the t.v. they always are seeing.
Their attention span is all but too fleeting.

They see things that should not be seen by ones so young.
They hear things that should not slip off anyone's tongue.

The games the children now play, abhor any physical effort.
Their social responsibility is now but a rude and crude retort.

If only the children would go back outside to play.
To learn new names, faces, to play the old way.

Imagination should be set free, not know the bounds of that old trap, the t.v.
Laughter once again reaching the heavens, see this… this is the way it should be.
