This flower is in my Mother in Law's yard. It's a biannual or in some cases triennial. She calls it and was told it's name is "Crown of Jewels". I did a quick Google of it and nothing like it came up. SO... I don't know it's real name.

The lighting was actually much brighter than this, but with the magic of a DSLR and it's settings. A nice pic (I think) with lots of contrast.

Not as artistic, but for anybody curious what the whole plant looks like.

My new therapist is also an artist and writer, so of course she encourages journaling and anything creative. This summer I drew a picture very similar to one that was my icon for a while. I will post it below with the drawing and painting I've done. To me represents me and my horse, Greyson, that I lost 6 years ago. Even though I was a teenager when I got him, I felt like I could be the vulnerable little girl that I was inside when I was with him. Also, in the picture you will notice a door. The door and beyond represents the world, my troubles, and my pain. None of that mattered when I was with Greyson and hope to be again one day. Anyways, I drew the picture last Summer and when I showed it to my therapist, she asked me to consider doing a painted version. I just wanted to share them with people who will understand the meaning.

Maybe some of you have some artwork or even writings you've done that you would like to share??

I couldn't figure out how to post the pictures, so I will post the links instead.
