Kind of you, but I wish I hadn't bothered and won't again.

Don't giveup Hashi... they are competitions and you simply need to hit refresh on a page to see if anything has been posted first.

It is simply first in with the correct answer, wins. There is nothing wrong with alerts, and they actually function that way described so you don't get an alert per new post in a thread, instead you get one for the first new post, until you go read the thread... which there may be more posts after it.
