Behavioral health nurse home visit?

@Friday, you gave me an idea! Thank you! I called someone I know who has a family member who I thought might have needed home health. There is an office with my insurance that can case manage home health care, and because of my type of insurance, actually has the responsibility to find someone, and if they can't they have the task of helping me hire someone independently if there isn't an agency with someone. YES! I found all the rules, where they could even help me get word out to people looking for a job. I emailed my doc and the office. This is doable! :)

I wonder if part of the issue is terminology. In my area, "behavioral health nurses" or anyone else with nurse in the title wouldn't be available. They would be who they would bring in if you needed nursing. Everything else is case management. A nurse would be more for if someone needed help meeting basic needs or more likely be employed in positions to make up for not having enough psychiatrists. The education requirements for case management are not as strict so there are more of them.

The first thing I managed to tolerate when I was in a post therapy mishap and not a good state state was seeing a CBT dietician and it was actually quite helpful. It was human contact in a supportive context without being too close up in my inner space. For want of a better description. Hope this works out for you.
