A great reminder, to me, that everything that gives also takes. I, too, used to automatically place folks on pedestals, especially in the therapeutic/healing arena, until I became a staff member within one of those arenas for over 13 years and got a front row seat, along with multiple direct experiences, at the endless hypocrisies and absurdities taking place daily, most especially towards folks trying to do the right things for the right reasons. Every individual is one bad choice (be it their own or that of another) away from life changing circumstances, as well all know way too well.
