I completely agree. And I like what you said @Snowflake, about ptsd being the jerk, not the person. Had my sufferer not told me of his ptsd, and had I not researched and came to this forum, I would have been gone a while as well. Again, ptsd doesn’t come with a book of instructions, so those of us (supporters) who want to love and support our sufferers only have articles and forums like this.

Lashing out is a reaction to stress. It's a reaction to the symptom, not a symptom. In other words, there is no unseen force causing somebody to be abusive against their will.

Our arguments have got so bad he says he wants to kill me, he says things like ‘if I had a shot gun right now I would blow your face off’, he’s said he wishes my planes crashes right before I’m due to go to work, then he will block me on every form of contact I have with him and we don’t speak for days, I’ll end up begging for him back and it’s a constant circle.

I'm sorry you are having to go through this. But please listen to what others here say and keep yourself safe. There are no excuses for behaving like this - if this is the beginning, imagine a few years down the line. Please think of yourself and your future. Sending you positive thoughts <3
