Brain Shivers Before Panic Attack (not Ssri-related)

I know a bit late, but yes I get them when I experience extreme anxiety, or triggers. I have never withdrawn from any sort of medication. And according to my therapist they are not uncommon accompanying extreme anxiety. Each person has their own way of coping. That is probably just yours. But don't hesitate to see a doctor about it if you are worried. Better safe than sorry. Best of luck

Wow I thought I've just been crazy for feeling brain shiver type things. At night especially, when trying to sleep, I feel an earthquake in the lower back of my brain then I tremble down my spine. I know tremors are part of anxiety, but thought the brain sensation was odd. I guess it is all just anxiety tremors.

I had no idea this was anxiety related. Pangea describes what I experience the best. I also get goosebumps and my arm hair stands on end during it. A couple of summers back I was getting it multiple times a day and couldn't find anything on line about it. I figured i was googling the wrong terms. What I was finding was was shivers from the cold, but that doesn't explain why it would happen in 90 degree weather.

Was on propanolol 7 months after 14.months of repeated unending trauma. Got off the memory eraser, heart attack preventing blood pressure lowering emotion blocking pill. Only to find all my repressed emotions can't back with vengeance. The Brain shivers were fireworks for weeks. Now they are more like shivers. And slowly getting weaker. Im taking vitamin b complex. 5-htp and omega 3-6-9. Without the vitamin b I'd of lost my mind. Without 5-htp I Couldn't imagine... It's replenishing my saratonen. It's saving my life. Brain shivers are real. I hope they mean healing.

I've had brain Zaps both off and on medications and coming off of them. It is very frightening. . . I believe mine are PTSD related as certain overwhelming sounds and lighting seem to aggrivate the issue. I've had brain scans done and all sorts of testing and was told it was due to my anxiety. I've recently began having them again (they seem to come and go and are rare) and they are very disturbing. At times they are mild, and other times they are so bad I feel like I was just slammed and have to try and keep my composure.

I've had PTSD symptoms for more than 3 years at this point and I'm currently not taking any medication at...
Im coming off an SSRI right now and I just had a episode of brain zaps for about 5 minutes followed by a panic attack, sucks, but hopefully this is just temporary. I wish I never went on an SSRI to be honest it messes your brain up in strange ways, and iv only been on it for like 3 months
