I second the Leafly website. I've been using high CBD oil for several months (I use the cartridges in a vaporizer pen), and it has been so helpful for my anxiety. I've had unpleasant experiences with marijuana in the past but that was due to the THC being much higher than the CBD. There is pure hemp oil, and then there are strains that contain both CBD and THC - I've heard a 2:1 (CBD to THC) ratio is ideal for anxiety, PTSD, and pain. I've tried some of the 2:1 strains - the sativa-based I use in the daytime, and indica-based I use to help get to sleep or in really stressful situations. I feel a lot calmer and less in fight-or-flight mode when I use the oil. I like it because I can still function, it's just that I feel like a calm version of myself. I think of it as anti-anxiety medication without the side effects or dependence, at least for me. I also like that it's anti-inflammatory and good for my overall health. I have joint and nerve pain and it helps with that - doesn't get rid of it, but I can cope with it better. It gives me more breathing space and that allows me to be more adaptable and creative.

It's generally unclear, whether THC is needed at all. For many, CBD oil is the option specifically because it has no THC, and therefore no psychotropic effect. The CBD cannot be fully controlled in plant form, because of too many variables - which is why the oil is useful. It's the only way to get nil THC content.

Also be aware that each individual may react differently. I have seen some it has helped immensely, and some it has nearly ruined their mental state bringing them into a breakdown.

Like any medication that affects our mentality, it is largely individual on reactions. We're still infants in neurology, so there are no guarantees. Definitely go for oil and vapour or edibles with proper measurements-smoke of any sort is carcinogenic, and leaf, as joeylittle pointed out, is nearly impossible to get any kind of regulated dosage with.

I eat CBD gummies. At first I was taking the 2:1 Kindred CBD capsules but those didn't fully work, and I couldn't give my all at work; due to the THC. I experimented with different CBD pills and dosages. None of the pills were high enough in CBD mg. I turned to the CBD edibles, and those worked better for me. I found that 30mg of controlled CBD works best for me. I eat them in the form of gummies by Biokinetic Labs. It has helped a lot with my hypervigilance/hyper-arousal, high anxiety and anger at work. I always keep a joint (thc based) on hand though, just in case.

Just experimenting with different dosages helps a lot, and gives you a better idea. Start off low and go from there.

Have you tried the cbd or thc lotions? I use them for my joint and nerve pains in my hands and wrists. I was surprised by how well it worked.

There is quite a lot of info, I googled "how to use cbd oil" and it came up with near infinite hits.

It pretty much came down to "try what works best for you" actually, which is a bit vague when you´re just starting :p. On the bottle I bought, it says to use "twice a day two drops" and to increase to a max of 12 drops. It´s 2,75% cbd and 0,05 thc.

I´ve got to say I feel the effect of two drops immediately. It gives me a kind of kick. But I have no idea how to properly use it to help regulate my emotions. If anybody has experience I´d be glad to hear.

Boy if I had a bag of cbd candies, I wouldn´t be able to control myself, and eat them all in one day :D

There are two CBD products available.

There is a cannabis strand which is usually 1-3% THC and varying levels of CBD that causes something called an entourage effect because of its balance with THC. In some arguments most support this strand as the best route. Which is what I use in vape format.

There is a hemp strand that has micro amounts of THC. Which seems like what you have. This is great if you have very bad tolerance to THC.

The idea behind CBD is to build an ongoing balance. Basically ensuring that it stays in your system by using it as part of your daily routine and as needed.

You can treat it as a meal time 3x a day plan with supplemental usage if you feel anxiety or stress. Treat it like medication dosage.

I'm very happy you're seeing positive effects from it already :)

I am currently using Stratos CBD 25 mg tablets and a nightly addition of an ArtroCBD capsul - research shows much promise in CBD's ability to lower our stress hormones - it has eliminated my long time night-mares, so I am a believer. That being said, it ain't cheap, because supply hasn't caught up with demand. I shell out about $150 per month right now.
