Other Childhood Abuse Flashbacks-due To Political Leadership

I moved 1,000 miles and one time zone away from her almost 20 years ago. It definitely was the best thing I ever did for myself. We're still in phone and email contact, but at least it's no longer like she can just drop in whenever she feels like it. And, yes, she tried to make me pay hell for leaving her, but my marriage was and is more important.

Everything you say about narc's is spot on. I do think it feeds something unwell in her, and it's notable that she started this shelter after I moved away.

Thanks for your thoughts, @Sophie's Daddy. :-)

Thank you for expressing what I am feeling, I don't live in America but since his election campaign I just have to hear his name, and I become furiously angry, out of proportion for what my reaction should be.

He reminds me of my abusive childhood, I feel like I am experiencing my mothers presence, scapegoating the victim so they can feel better about their own insecurities.

His narcissistic fear based behaviour of singling out people for abuse, while others around him are deluded by the outward appearance of this friendly caring person, who uses peoples fear to create an environment in which he will be admired by the many who are apparently blind to the truth of how truly evil this person really is.

He disgusts me, I can't even believe that even when he is so openly narcissistic that this could have happened.

It reminds me of how people see abuse and do nothing; thankfully everyone is not blind..

This gentleman is good, first check out the unjustified slime which gets thrown at him

Herbert Spencer: The Defamation Continues

This is probably his most polemical work, from the second half of the nineteenth century. The.pdf includes a chapter that isn't in the audio book, excessive legislation, which shows that there was never a golden age of government. It has always been rotten.

My T has also described seeing increased symptoms in her patients since the campaign, as well as an increase in couple's coming in for therapy due to trouble coping with opposing political views in their relationships since the election.

Hmmm. I have never heard of CPTSD causing BPD. I will have to look into that.

Sophie's Dad, I do not understand your original post. So because you do not like Trump, you are now dealing with CPTSD and BPD? Or am I getting this wrong? If I am getting it right, what do you suggest that we do? Vote someone into office so you feel better?

I looked into voting for other candidates, and when Trump made the inappropriate statements he did about women, I was thinking this guy has a problem that I do not want to be part of. However my mind was made up not by me but by Clinton when she verbally abused people that do not support her. Calling us deplorable. We hadn't even done or said anything, I was not supporting any one candidate at the time, but her comment told me that while Trump may disrespect women, Clinton disrespects her future constituents. Which is worse?

As or people in other countries, as soon as your country starts paying American taxes and obeying American laws, we will then pay heed to what you like or dislike about OUR leaders. Until then, you are non-players and I ask that you stay out.

No, people will not be deported because they are anti-Trump. That shows the lack of education on the immigration/naturalization topic. Please, do not try blaming *that* for your illnesses. Because you can always go to the library and learn about the process. PTSD/CPTSD or even BPD are not caused by ignorance.

Is it horrible that a woman was deported because she was brought her before she turned 18? Yes. But there is more to the story than what we have been told. There is a clause that covers underage undocumented immigrants. The only times I have known of this happening is when the people interviewed, being the formerly underage undocumented immigrants, take up an attitude and refuse to cooperate. One of my neighbors from a few years was interviewed for that problem. His family is Greek and he was in his second year of college (he was in his mid 20s). His parents were deported and ICE allowed him to stay. Because he was in his early teens when they came across.

I'm going to answer for @Sophie's Daddy here - it's the other way around. His parents were abusive, and that abuse led to his diagnoses. Trump reminded him (in words and manner) of his abusive parents, enough so that Trump became a trigger.

Hope that helps.

To all readers of this thread:
Memories of abusive figures being activated by public figures - that is what this thread (roughly) needs to be about. Debating who is or is not a good president - that's not what this forum is here for.

You can read more about this, here. Thank you.

@cactus_jack

You might like to consider one or two points

I have no intention of paying protection money* to the murderous and terroristic gang that's visible end is based in the District of Criminals,

and I have zero intention in participating in its scams games and terrorism#

That doesn't stop it from tapping my communications, keeping files on me, claiming a right to summarily kill me and my loved ones on the basis of "metadata", overflying me armed with nukes (I live near enough to the town of Lockerbie and to bombing ranges)

I don't automatically connect people who live within lines drawn on a map, with gangs. You are not a serf or slave of that gang if you choose not to be

You had more choices in that election than you seem to be realising

How does one person oppress 30 people, let alone 300,000,000 people?

It is quite simple - they have to let themselves be oppressed

A lot of them, and it looks like you are still one of them, never even realise what's going on

And I don't blame you. Enough of us here have taken a long time to wake up to abuse that's a lot closer to home than the District of Criminals is.

You've been raised from birth to accept it. Every hour you watch TV or listen to the radio, you are subjected to "approved" news stories, telling you how much you need the gang to protect you from the people next door, from your own choices, from the crisis du jour

This video gets the point accross very well, even though it is fictional 00V for Vendetta-why they need us.avi

You have a choice of not playing the gang's game - of withdrawing your consent

The book that I linked in my reply to Sophie's Dad, explains very well, that there is no need to lay hands on a tyrant (ie, use violence) simply withdraw your consent, and like a mighty statue that the plinth has been pulled out from under him, he will will fall to the ground and smash, just as surely as if he had been pushed.

It works, that book was used as the basis of Gandhi's campaign to de legitimise the Imperial rule in India

you are free to trot out all of the tired old mainstream bromides about how wrong and dangerous human freedom is, and how slavery is truly freedom, and why ignorance is really wisdom,
I've heard them all before, like you, i grew up immersed in them. They're all fallacious.

______________________________
* Tax is protection Money, it's not like you are choosing to buy a service that you want, it's a gang telling you to pay them, what they demand, or they'll hurt you.
You'll probably reply with some variation of the Hobbesian myth that without a ruler to keep us all in awe, we'd be in a condition of nature consisting of a war of all against all, and that human life would be nasty, short and brutish...

#Scams, games and terrorism.
Take a look at the structure of a Ponzi scheme, Carlo Ponzi went to prison for his, Bernie Madoff killed himself before he got to court for his. Neither one of them ever coerced anyone into participating.

Now look at the structure of state sector pension schemes and national insurance schemes, that you are forced to participate in. There might be an illusion of assets but government bonds are only promises to tax productive people more at some point in the future.

They're Ponzi schemes, and like all Ponzi schemes, they're inherently unstable, and will collapse. Leadership? No, it's criminality on a grand scale.

Fiat money, oh but your money is "backed by gold"... No it isn't, and hasn't been since LBJ suspended redemption, then tricky dicky "closed the gold Window" , Remember the story of jack and the beanstalk and jack selling the cow to a swindler for some magic beans? Fiat money is even worse.

Terrorism, check out operation Gladio. It came out i about 1990 that All of the supposed leftwing terrorism in Europe from the late sixties onwards, came out of NATO headquarters.

Incidentally, why do gubbernmints say that people who work for them are entitled to kill other people, beat them, cage them, torture them....?

Just a little selection, there's plenty more problems caused by the gangs that we call gubbernmints, and plenty more examples

Peace, love and anarchy
