Maybe this is an opportunity for you to work on yourself, being that you do not have to deal with any relationship drama for now. I think it is hard to make any relationship work until a person is happy with themselves. I sometimes really want to try a romantic relationship, but I know I have a lot of work to do before I would be a good partner for someone. Some people seem to think they must be in a relationship to feel complete, but the answer is in you...not other people. Also, hopefully your next girlfriend would not expect you to support her financially, although that was a nice gesture for you to "take care of her", it's not going to make a relationship rewarding. It's ok to be single for a while, be patient you will find someone when it's right, which is the important thing. :)
