New Here
I'm new here and still trying to figure out how to navigate he site. I'm looking around to see if there is a forum specific for combat PTSD. Can anyone point me in the right direction?...thanks...CUZ

Welcome to the forum.....No, there isn't a specific area for combat PTSD. We all suffer PTSD, we all have the same symptoms, so we all pretty much support each other.....

BTW.....Thanks for your service, thanks for doing what you do....

Cuzzin,

You will find that the other combat veterans will find you as they log on. I hope this forum helps you as much as it has helped me and others.

Welcome and Thank You for your service to our country

Hello Cuz

WELCOME HOME

I too am a vet. I served in Viet Nam and also have PTSD. You have come to the right place. Lots of good info and lots of good people here.

You can probably guess from my user ID I suffer from PTSD from combat as well. Still in the guard AND still getting treatment through civilian, va, and tricare. Just got 60% disability through the VA, partially for PTSD. It's always good to know you're not alone.

Hi to all,
I am a vet just retired with in a year ago from the Navy and I have started having difficulties from my tour of duty in the war zone, middle east. It was very very stressful and the things that had taken place, now that I am home, I was in denial when the local VA rep said to me that I had it. I thought I was good to go, but after I snapped at my supervisor this past Saturday and my comment really gotten my attention so after doing some research I'm getting some help come this Monday.
As it was mentioned earlier how the husband had intimacy problem well I suffer from that my self. I cannot take the drugs as I don't like to take drugs any.
Thanks all for listening.

Just wanted to welcome all you vet Newbies, and say *Thank You* for your service. You Guys & Gals do a hell of a job......

Lots of combat vets stay in denial for a while. I was for about 12 years, which resulted in a wrecked life with it's nasty fingerprints all over it.

Welcome home brother!
