I figured out the problem! I can't believe I didn't put the pieces together sooner.
His dr started him on depakote about 2 weeks ago. It's a mood stabilizer for his headaches. Anyway.....total bad reaction to the stuff. When I figured it out, I told him to STOP taking it and call the dr. asap. He said he was having suicidal thoughts, felt numb, forgetting/feeling lost ...so thank god it was just the medicine.
That said, we talked aND are starting couples therapy at the VA.

He and I MET on a dating site. He's not on it anymore. He's not cheating. He can barely keep up with me☺

I absolutely agree. I'm not screwing around here. We talked and he stopped the medication that he was reacting too as well as I told him we need professional help if this has a chance of working. So we are starting counseling at the VA as soon as we can get an appt.

Great, maybe this opened the door for better communication, that's what this was about to begin with. My concern was your daughter. Yup, l have one of those too. But l noticed your concern also about your daughter, and that made me realize you were on the right path.

Tread carefully. It may and it may not be the meds. Make sure you are not grasping for straws. Give it time... and a medical doctor to figure out if the depakete is responsible for such a huge shift in behaviour in so short a time.
