Could It Be Prevented. Interesting Research.

That's fascinating. Since it's not structural, or rational, but a transitive state of deficit /not having enough glucocorticoid in that precise moment ... it would explain why 226 times = just fine. 227 = kaplow. Or vice versa, first time is devastating but keep re-exposing and some people's brains start producing more of the hormone. Similarly, wait long enough, and the body stops producing it or some new trauma drops us into the red zone, and it's PTSD-land : You must be this whacked out to ride this ride.

I'm sure I'm oversimplifying, and that there's more to it (assuming it's not just completely wrong) ... But it's elegant. Really really elegant.

They are also linking Alzheimers with PTSD too. I bet if you researched enough, you would find strong numbers of people with Alzheimers used to have PTSD.

My father had Alzheimers, and PTSD. He spent his last 30 years dealing with traumas from being a cop the last 12 months his memory deteriorated to such a state that he thought he was playing with his school friend in the garden.

Sad. I am glad I never saw him like that.

Shit... I think about the Alzheimer's thing all the time. Scary thought. Alzheimer's and memory loss secretly due to the side effects of all the f*cking med's that make it tolerable. I mean who really tests these pharmaceuticals? Do they just go to shit Countries and test them on the people... wait a few years... okay good. Release to the public. Or what?

Human trials are the last phases (first mice and rodents, then pigs and simeons... have to not explode, melt, bubble, exsanguinate, run their little legs off, or start dropping like flies). But after the animal phase it's usually the homeless population in this country getting tested.

There are exceptions to this, but in the US that's the norm. You know those radio commercials & on the back of college newspapers "Get paid & free treatment for your ______" (depression, herpes, etc.)? Yep?. Don't do those. Ever.

Unless you're Drew Barrymore.
