I don't know where you got this from with the lots of languages....

We're always told how good Germans are at learning other languages! And NEVER that Germans are lazy. It's good to hear. :D

I have to say the Germans I've met have definitely lived up to the language thing - maybe that's because I've met them here in the UK, so they're the language-learning travelling types? My therapist is German and she offers psychotherapy in three different languages...

There might be some exceptions, but most of the people I know...are rather lazy. The new school system is like you should learn already two languages in elementary school. But most people I know are really lazy and not interested. They expect everyone else to know German and so they don't learn another language. At work it's like...someone doesn't speak German and most colleagues run to me...:confused:

Three words for you @ springer80. Fleece lined trousers. My poor bottom has been dragged up many a Munro but has always been toasty warm thanks to this wonder of hill climbing fashion. However, swimming in the North Sea in summer I'm sure added a blue tone to my posterior.
