Can I do Mexico, since no one else has yet? I lived there for several years.

For the most part, they don't wear big hats or ponchos, don't take afternoon naps, don't leave everything for tomorrow, and wouldn't recognize a fried bright yellow tortilla filled with beans, sour cream and green onions as a taco if it jumped up and bit them. They do go all weak-kneed over mariachi music, love a good party, and tend to have big families.

Oooh how I miss real Mexican food though...

Someone on my Facebook feed posted an image with Dutch expressions that are weird in English. One of them goes "Unfortunately, Peanutbutter". In reaction I made a jpg that I'd like to share...

Also: Canadian Marcellus Gilmore Edson (February 7, 1849 – March 6, 1940) of Montreal, Quebec was the first to patent peanut butter. (from Wikipedia). It's not a cultural stereotype, although most Dutch people probably bring peanut butter to holiday destinations... xD
unfortunately.webp

I'm not busting any cultural myths [I'm not very good at it :)] but here's a lovely tour of Scotland, if anyone is interested:
