Diagnosis/therapy Questions

I have to ask: why are you so stuck on PTSD?
Why are you apparently ignoring every bit of advice you are getting?
Exactly. Either you think that this is serious, or you don't. I don't think your diagnosis will be PTSD, but if it's serious enough to be effecting your life then you absolutely should pursue an accurate diagnosis.

I can only hope that the symptoms go away this time too.
They won't. Whatever your diagnosis, it's obvious these symptoms come back in times of stress. Which of course will start a snowball effect. So you need to do something about it. And doing something starts with getting appropriate treatment. Sorry, but at this point, if you want to sit there and feel sorry for yourself and just hope things will get better while taking guesses at what you have and not seeking any real help, no one here can do much for you and it's a waste of everyone's time.

Just my two cents. Either you want to get better or you don't. Up to you. No matter what it is, that's just how mental health concerns work. There's no magic solution that doesn't take hard work.

Self-diagnosis is futile. And the more time you spend looking up symptoms is the less time you spend looking for qualified help.

Some people continue to ask the same question until they find someone to tell them what they want to hear. It is apparent that the OP wants someone here to validate their perceived PTSD diagnosis instead of seeking a professional to diagnose.
There would be no difference in me insisting that I have heart disease and asking your opinion, even though you are not a heart specialist, until you finally agree and only to find out I have indigestion.
Polly, we are not qualified therapists. I can't imagine what kind of fall out your situation left you with. It sounds horrible, but for the love of God please go see someone because if you can work it out sooner than later, it would save you a lot of time, wasted energy, and sadness. I hope you are able to use your resources to find a therapist instead of seeking a treatment plan on google.
Best, best wishes! I hope it gets easier soon!

And @Polly Sue, just a reminder, no one's minimizing anything, we're trying to steer you to get the help you need and make sure you are taking care of yourself, which means working with what you are diagnosed with, whatever it may be.
