I keep getting really anxious and disassociating with the world. I feel like the world is completly overwhelming and that I'm just living it, not enjoying it, not taking part in it, just going hour by hour and wondering how long I will have to endure of feeling like this. I don't really feel like I'm here. Does that make sense to anybody? Does anybody feel the same?
Xx

yes it makes sense. Can you tell me more? is there a particular time or situation that makes it worse? Is there something that feels good/better?

Please tell us a wee bit more. I don't for one minute think that you are exclusive in your feelings! We are a varied lot here!!!

I mainly get this bad when I'm at work, this being a situation that I have to be in control of and can't get out of. I feel like the world is closing in on me, the busier the area I am in the worst this feeling gets. The things that makes me feel better is being in my comfort zone, I.e at home, I then start to feel grounded again.
I feel like I am living a life sentence after suffering sex abuse. please tell me it gets better.
Xx

It does get better. Many have found therapy/councelling to be particularly helpful to decrease the distressing symptoms we experience. For dissociation symptoms while I'm out I usually wear a ring or a necklace that I can play with and that has a interesting texture,it gives me something to focus on and I can do it one handedly so I still get things done.

Totally how I feel. Especially when work and therapy gets tough. Then I get even more distressed and more dissasociated and on and on...

It does get better, but not on it's own, it's something you have to learn to manage with grounding techniques, and by dealing with your trauma in therapy. You could also discuss in therapy, how you feel at work, why you don't feel you have control, and what happens to you, both physically and mentally when things get busy. Look at grounding techniques specifically (do a google search), to begin with, then try to implement them when you feel yourself dissociating.
