I just really wonder where she's getting this. I hope it's just from school friends. I would hate to think my brother is for Trump. I mean, he knows better than a lot of people how much it means for us to get another Democratic president, as he is a caseworker and homeless shelter coordinator. Surely, he couldn't be for Trump. Right? Gah, I'm almost afraid to talk to him now.

I think many are persuaded by his tactics. (But remember sociopaths also have tactics of persuasion!) People fall for the pomp and circumstance, the hoopla, and above all live (oops meant to say love but live works too, lol) to be told what they want to hear. Unless people are able to think beyond this moment, they will tend to believe what is immediately placed in front of them.

There are very few questions about HOW trump will accomplish anything. "I'll hire experts!" Or "we'll get Mexico to pay for the wall!" There is no substance to anything he says. But of course, this requires analysis of the issue, and many don't want to think that deep.

I think he appeals to the worst instincts and prejudices among us. He is simply a fascist. Yeah, an entertainer, too, if you like that sort of thing, but deep down, he's a fascist. And let's not forget that Hitler was legally elected.

Crap! Trump won the SC primary! Who the hell would vote for him??? I am really seriously getting scared now.

I am seriously embarrassed about my country. I mean seriously, this path we are on to elect a strongman, a dictator-like figure, has never worked out well in human history... like ever.

What if he makes it to the White House? Who comes after Trump? Will there even be elections?

Anthony She had a chance.. I have seen some improvement in some areas...besides if he wins the world may be screwed..he doesn't know what the nuclear triad is but he wants to use it. I thought that even a 5 year old knew that nukes are deterrent world war 3 prevention devices...

I have to disagree, Anthony. And I am a huge critic of my country. In the longer view, we've overcome slavery and at least illegal discrimination. Democratic presidents have eliminated our national debt. Some of our states are now legalizing marriage for gay couples. There is progress. Slow in coming, yes, but progress. However, if by some insane set of circumstances, enough of my fellow citizens elect Trump to be president, all bets are off.

I'll bite. US debt is at $19 trillion and growing. That works out to be around $160k per person, man, woman or child. It is stated that the US debt is unrecoverable to ever be paid out based on economic projections.

Yes, equality in marriage is a good thing. Obama has actually done some pretty good things in his time. Most presidents do. But that doesn't change the greed and manipulation that is going on each day that is really only undermining the entire economy of the US. Capitalist economies are not favourable under any circumstance, no different to communist ones. Both models, historically, have always pressed the majority of people into being poor and making a handful of rich, richer.

When the people at the top only care about more wealth, and stop caring about the people who create that wealth... disaster is imminent.
