Back to Trump bashing
@EveHarrington - I don't have any issue with the info you posted about Trump. It's important to share and discuss it. There is just so much wrong with his campaign and so much of what he says...

But, that being said, I hope this doesn't become just a Trump bashing thread. That wasn't the kind of discussion I was hoping for.

There's an important difference between a discussion about Trump, and all that is wrong with the popularity of Trump, and intentional Trump bashing for bashing sake. I'm ok with moments of venting frustrations or other feelings about him, but I hope you don't stay there and seek to just bash him.
If he is worth $10 billion he could surely self fund his campaign, right?
Yes! But he's now having "emergency" fundraising events and somehow pulling lots more cash in. Hillary is still out fundraising him, but his still somehow able to get people to vote for them with their dollars!

I guess I shouldn't be surprised... But somehow, I hope I never become numb to the many things that are shocking about his campaign.

Wow, they just announced here in the states that Brexit (Britian's exit from the EU) passed!

It is believed by some that Brexit passed for the many of the same reasons Trump is popular here in the states...

@EveHarrington - I'm not trying to control you. I'm expressing my opinion, which is clearly different than yours.

I appreciate your request that I ignore you, and I respectfully decline to do so. You have had some excellent things to say on this thread (and others.) Plus, I'm alright with reading opinions different than mine. I'm also ok with being (respectfully) challenged on opinions of my own. It can help me refine my own beliefs. I tend to learn a lot from dialogue with those I don't agree with.

@EveHarrington - cross posted with you.

I really get that my disagreement with you is being seen by you as an attempt to control you or silence you.

Please hear me on this: I'm not trying to do any of those things.

I may have started the discussion, but I don't see this as "my" thread. It's a community discussion, and I feel it really belongs to everyone. I can still also express what my hopes and opinions are about the intent and purpose of the discussion.

I respect your decision to leave the thread, but I hope you reconsider and come back. You've been a valuable part of this discussion! You've made many fair points.

It has not even crossed my mind to report you. You have done nothing that I'm aware of that violate forum rules and it's up to staff to make decisions on banning people. Not my place. For what it's worth, I don't see a reason for it, and it wasn't something I was even remotely thinking about.

If you are going to express you want to bash Trump for the sake of bashing him, then I may also express a different view point, no reason for control or banning or etc. You've been respectful to me and others here, even when there is disagreement.

This is what disagreement with respect can be like: there are boundaries (the forum rules) but within those bounds, there is freedom. Freedom to share and freedom to disagree with what is shared.

As far as it is up to me, your opinion is welcome here to be shared and discussed as much as other perspectives. Even when we don't always agree.

In light of all that has been said as of late I have come to the realization that my opinions have been flat out wrong and that Trump really is the way to make America great again!

Google

"Trump + Nazi + Ball"

I for one am appalled that respectable Nazis are being associated with Trump! It's so incredibly disrespectful to be insulting the dead (mostly, at this point). I wonder what those Nazi-balls are fetching on eBay. They should sell them for charity. Or to buy more Mexican flags for his neighbors. Lol.

Legal game changer for delegate rights to vote their conscience at conventions. One is suing for the right to not be forced under law to support Trump.

Correll’s suit maintained that state law imposed criminal penalties on delegates who did not vote on the first ballot for the winner of the state’s Republican and Democratic primaries. Correll filed the suit on Friday in federal court in Richmond. He seeks a judgment on behalf of all delegates to the Republican and Democratic conventions.
