I just got off the phone. At one point in the conversation, she said "Doesn't Donald Trump remind you of your uncle?"

"Yeah, you mean John*?"

"Yeah, they are so alike. They can never be wrong. Always have to be right. Always have to be obnoxious about it."

Our conversation continued on. I have been telling my mother that my uncle is a narcissist for years. I have been telling her this isn't healthy for years.

Suddenly, she gets it. She never admits there are problems with anyone in my family or extended family. I have to say, it was a moment of validation. She says there is no way in hell she will vote for Donald, but she also didn't see the problem in my aunt marrying someone just like him.

Sigh.
