Donation Challenge - Annual Server Costs - Can We Do It?

Aside from those who donated last month, I'd like to set a challenge for all members to see if they will make a commitment to ensure this forum stays online for the next 12 months, by achieving the annual server costs of US$3,000 by the end of this monthly cycle - to take the pressure off everyone including @anthony who sits here tirelessly every day trying to work out ways to subsidize the forum costs which are not limited to the server.

All it would take would be for every active member to donate $1.00 and then we all know and have the peace of mind that until Mid February 2016 this resource will be online.

I know I stress every month looking at the donations to see if we can meet the server costs and you all know how stress affects us. Do you think we can do it? There's already $12.00 which has been donated.

PS... this is my idea as I would like to see my husband have one less stress for the next 12 months.

Donate here on the top right of the page - thank you :)

I hope a whole lot of people step up to the plate
It would mean a lot if they did - one less stress. I've been here since 2007 and from month to month it's always a concern and we have to top up any shortfall. It would be a nice change to have a year without that stress and pressure. One day we may not be able to reach in our pockets and I'd hate to see this place disappear and considering how much people pay for therapy - one dollar a year is not too much to ask in return in my opinion.

Gofundme is a little different based on their setup. It is in Australian dollars, it has a higher total due to gofundme % they take, the % lost in currency conversion, then the % that the gofundme online payment system used then takes. It worked out that nearly $800 of the total was lost in fees and charges, hence it is higher and due to Australian dollars, all to really equate to US$3000 in total outcome.

I tried gofundme as an alternative... I didn't know about this one here... but direct to Paypal is the best method, as there are much less lost in fee's and charges, as this forum works on US$ and so does this forums paypal account, thus no conversion fees or such. We pay 2.5% or something on each donation, plus about 35 cents I think.... so bugger all compared to the losses encountered via gofundme.
