He just put me on busbar or buspirone or something not really worth a shit trying to keep me from ramping dnt work to we'll I guess I'm high strung. Maybe better luck with the next one

Ever since I've been dropped from benzodiazaprimes it's been a rollercoaster of emotions

Take benzos with caution. Don't double the dosage. Use them only when you need them. Doc's often overdo the dosage or escalate to a really dangerous kind.

If you have to, go off slowly. Begin with your normal dosage. Maybe two or three days later (depending on you) cut it in half if you can. Then go progressively down to 0 according to your body. If you get headaches or nervousness, recognize the withdrawal symptoms and take the dosage your down to. (If it's down to a half tablet, take another half.) Use a razor blade to make the cut even to a third of a tablet if you have to.

I am not a doctor. (I have to say that.) Believe me I seen it myself because I take them. But I know I am not dependent on them except for what they are for: panic attacks, anxiety. They will depress you at times. Know that.

Buspar is absolutely useless for something like PTSD. It's for GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) and barely does the job for that.

Believe it or not, studies show that breathing deeply (as in meditation) and emptying your mind can often have the same effect as xanax. Doesn't always work but it has at times for me.

Word of advice here on benzos. I became heavily addicted to them. Withdrawal was as crappy as can get.
Still have crawling skin and other nasties from it.
I now understand a lot of my symptoms were in fact from the benzos.
It nearly killed me, a few times over.

For some people, Benzos are the only thing that works. But you have to be careful in their use and not "ramp up" until you're taking large amounts. My prescription hasn't changed for years. I take no more than I did when I started and it gives me a half way decent life. I'm not a drunk anymore, so mixing with alcohol isn't a problem.

Yes, I'm addicted to them and probably will be until I no longer breathe. When I balance my life between full blown PTSD with meds that don't work for me and being an addict, I'll be the addict.

Will it affect my health? Well, that's already been spoken for.
