Exploring Personal vs Religious Faith: Reflections on 'American Heretics'

So your personal experiences are a form of evidence that comprise your general beliefs. A majority of these are *not* proven, they're just assumed to be true. Such as having conversations with people where you take them at face value, etc.
This seems important and helpful to me but I’m not sure how just yet.

Just wanted to say that I've been watching the documentary. (It's kind of long.) It's great. I totally recommend it. Pretty much to anyone. It's set in Oklahoma. I spent 5 years in OK and I basically like the state and the people. I also had a bunch of the experiences I've seem mentioned so far. Like a conversation with my "unofficial adopted brother" who couldn't understand how someone could be both a Christian and a liberal. (Interesting conversation! Long story but we came to an good understanding and I think we both benefited from the discussion. As we benefited from most of our discussions.) I've already learned a few things about the early church that I didn't know. In spite of the fact that I've spent a fair amount of time studying the early church.

Thanks for sharing the link to the documentary! I hope other people watch it too.
