Fifty Shades Trilogy

For global language ease... hard-on, fat, chubby, stiffy, etc.

I seriously don't know how anyone could read this series and not either, as a male get a chubby, or as a female get excited and moist. Sex is not taboo or a nasty word, so I have no issues talking about it, being a perfectly natural aspect of life and relationships.

I am half way through the third book now, and all I can say is... WOW! This is a really powerful story, that is romance, erotic, adventurous and even contains plenty of action and drama along the way with all the things that happen, the threats, the jealous partners, etc.

I really have struggled to put the books down once I start reading them for the day. They're just so consuming, just like The Hunger Games, where you need to keep reading to find out more, more, more. Every page and chapter and book leaves you hanging to find more answers to the story exposed.

I can completely understand why this book sits 1, 2 & 3 on the worlds top 100 book list, and why each run has sold out nearly as fast as they hit the shelves.

OK, now how can I resist after all of the above? :roflmao:

Just starting this tonight since the book of this month is on a topic I don't do too well with.

Looking forward to some nice distraction!

I finished reading the remainder of this series first thing this morning, and this is as equally as good as The Hunger Games or Millennium Trilogy, without a second thought. I would actually say, I want more from E. L. James and fifty shades. There is so much scope to continue writing in parts of the lives based on the epilogue alone... I want more of Fifty Shades.

I have to admit, reading this reminded me a little of the importance of romantic aspects within a relationship, as no doubt many know, as a relationship evolves you become complacent and don't pay as much attention to your partner. After reading this, I would say that is renewed somewhat for myself as a reminder how important it is to just be there, to be available and how much pleasing one another sexually really does impact in the relationship itself.

I loved the action that was encompassed within the series. One could think this is about sex, but it's far from just sex. The story is about a relationship, the adventures of said relationship, communication, compromise, obedience on both persons behalf to the other in times of need, sacrifice and selflessness, and beyond all of that it encompasses living happily ever after... which you could easily think the relationship was going to break at many points during the story.

Just WOW! I will be reading this again in the near future.

Just started it - yowza!

There is something very significant as far as how psychologically descriptive it is - I notice that already. This is something very different from anything I've read before - what a surprise!

Definitely feeds the need for some high quality distraction.

It made me chuckle from one of the questions as the bottom of this page in found search results via Google, "What is Christian Grey's secret?" Well... the answer I will not divulge, though I will say I agree with both his doctors and Anastasia's views, all based on his past with his anger manifested inwards and he was really molested as a teen into the world of BDSM, even though it did right some wrongs in his life at that time, end of the day he was a teenager and she was an adult, she did molest a child for all intensive purposes. I absolutely love how he eventually lets go of her though for the toxicity he acknowledges, and moves on with life happily snuggled into his new family dynamics.

I'm fascinated by the thought process that Anastasia goes through with why she continues on with the situation against her logical judgements, and how she pushes for what she wants out of the relationship and usually gets her way.

I'm about 3/4 through the first book.

Well, I am so intrigued now and i need a good distraction, so I've downloaded the book on my kindle and am going to read it now too.

The only thing I found a little boring was the repetitive nature in the sex scenes. By around book 2 I began to skip over some sex scenes that had already been written about and where merely repetitive. Albeit, that is small in the scheme of each book when repetition hits in. The story itself, I absolutely loved.

I'm now awaiting my Mitch Rapp books to arrive... as I loved Kill Shot and so am going to read them all from book #1.

Okay, it took walking away from it for for a bit before I was interested in finishing the first book. By the time I got towards the end, it was getting so repetitively redundant, it was getting on my nerves. Jesus, can we have ONE exchange that does not involve Anna biting her lip? They do it in the shower, they do it at her apartment, they do it at his place. Yawn. He has money, and he's a good looking controlling jerk. Double yawn. Yea, until the repetitive stuff starts grating on the nerves, it's pretty hot. But the story line? Meh. Not sure of I'll read the next one or not. Later maybe.

Overall I enjoyed the story, the incessant arguing got on my nerves after a while - he wants her to do as he says, she doesn't, they argue, they make up, repeat. It got tiring after a while. I still found it to be an enjoyable read though :)

I've started, but have taken a bit of a break. Not sure if I really want to read a bunch of sex scenes...but minus that - the story line seems interesting. I may finish. I don't know...probably if I don't have anything else immediate to read ;)
