Poor hubby was in a bit of a state today, trying to get a cir-clip back on the wheel of his motorbike. He had been at it for at least 30 mins, to the point of walking away from it before he broke something big style.

He had lost or broken the tool he needed to get it back on easily.

He came in and sat down with a thump, complaining and ranting (Like they do) that he would have to go buy the pliers to fit it back.

So I suggested I take a look, maybe we could come up with something to sort it first.

30 seconds later it is fixed and back on. I picked up the pin nosed pliers, dropped the clip in position, slipped the pliers in the gap, opened them up, using both hands, he tapped it gently and on it went.

Who needs a mechanic or specialist equipment when a womans brains is all thats needed.

Love it! Although, one has to wonder how it affected hubby's mood. Was he relieved and happy that you had found a solution? Or grumpy (as they often get) that you solved it so quickly when he had spent so much time on it and still not been able to fix it?

Ahhh....I love it! Thanks for starting my day with a smile!

I do hope hubby is able to smile at it as well!

Well often times that extra pair of eyes and hands can make all the difference in the world. ;-)

Jawn

LOL thanks all.

His reaction to it being fixed by me was, " I should have just let you do it" then he laughed. As he knew I could have done the whole job on my own, which was top replace the chain and sprockets on his bike.

A few hours later he is still winding me up about it all, saying I can do all the mechanics on it from now on. His last words of wisdom were as he walked off laughing, " Why is he getting his hands dirty when he has a grease monkey in the house"

What cheek. Trouble is he knows I can get stuck in and do stuff like this as well as any mechanic. It's me who orders all parts and bits we need for this bike and ones in the past. The trained guys listen to me and know I do know what I'm talking about.

And they say it's a man's world. since when
