Getting a new puppy!

Just wanted to share that I'm getting a toy breed puppy. :) I'm excited. If anyone has housebreaking tips for apartment living, I'm all ears. ;) :poop: :roflmao:

Awesome! To housebreak a puppy, you need to remember his bladder can’t hold very much per and anything that excites him will make him pee. So think ahead. Take him out every hour. This will teach him that pee and poop belong outside. Pick up his water bowl at 6pm and make sure to take him out right before bedtime. As his body grows it will allow him to have a fuller bladder. I always let my puppies and dogs sleep with me. And first thing in the morning, take him out. Before you even start coffee maker.

If you are expecting a visitor, make sure to take him out. Puppies require a lot of guidance and patience. Have fun!!!

Sorry guys, totally forgot to respond! We picked a name out. He's doing OK. He has giardia and the vet said he probably got it from his mom at the breeder's house the cyst count in his fecal float was so high (100+). Freaked us out and my paranoid butt thought maybe I'd gotten it. Just good poisening though, never thought I'd be grateful to know I had food poisoning. :roflmao: Anyways, we're treating him for it and hopefully he'll have firmer poops soon. We are smitten with him, and he is being a puppy, lol.
